Celebrating The life of Rev Christine Isutsa Wala

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Reverend (Rtd) Christine Wala. She hails from Mwilonje, Ebusiloli, Emuhaya Constituency, Vihiga County and was born on 17th May 1942.

Beloved wife of Ezekiel Jonah Isutsa Wala. Daughter of the late Jonathan Abulwa Okusala Ameyo and the late Epheli Allela Daughter-in-law to the late Jonah Isutsa and Elizabeth Amakove Wala Sister to the late Peris, the late Eliezer, the late Alexander, Ruth, Rina and the late Peter and their spouses.

Sister-in-law to the late Susanah, the late Nashon, the late Dinah, the late Luka, the late Penins and the late Mark and their spouses. Mother of Julius and Ndunge Olinga (Kitale), the late Andrew and Marjorie Wafula (Nairobi), the late Joyce Ng’etich, Jonah (the National Treasury) and Salome Wala (Kenya Airports Authority), Dr Oliver (Family Dentistry) and Sarah Wala (Early Learning Montessory Centre), Martin (Brookhouse School) and June Bingwa (Premier Academy), Dr Jonathan and Alice Wala (CKS Dialysis and Kenyatta University), Dr Elizabeth Wala (Options Consultancy) and Benjamin and Lydia Wala (Njoro).

She is a mother, by extension, to many many more. Grandmother to 23 and great grandmother to 4. The cortege leaves Masaba Hospital (St Louise Funeral Home) on 12th January 2022. A grand celebration of her impactful life will be on 14th January 2023 at Mukhombe Primary School and thereafter burial at her beloved home in Mwilonje, Ebusiloli, Bunyore. Relatives and friends are meeting daily at her home in Bunyore.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” ~ 2 Timothy 4: 7-8
